  : The location was fabulous, it was quiet and also convenient for the metro and the sights of Paris. The staff were friendly and very helpful and responsive to any requests we made. The room was large for Paris standards and the plumbing worked well (can be a big issue in some of these older buildings!).
  : Breakfast was expensive for what it was and we ended up going around the corner and getting coffee and fabulous baked goods for 1/3 of the price. Although the bistro part during the day/evening worked well and was reasonably priced.

  : Super location in the heart of Sentier. Room very clean and nicely decorated.
  : For me the big disappointment was the view from the window of the room : view on the works just outside the window with a pile of trash bags. I think the minimum would have been to warn me before I came that there were works just outside the room but nobody told me anything so it was a surprise and really not up to 4 stars standard. When I mentioned it at check out the person at the reception told me : Oh yes there are some works but I really love the bathroom in that room, don’t you ? Which I found really close to mockery.

  : lovely staff and good position for walking to interesting things.
  : I didn’t get the room I thought I had paid for. Had view into sewing business with very bright light outside on all night. Can’t make cup of tea in room and had to go to reception, then restaurant to collect coffee and milk each time you wanted to make a cup of coffee in room to drink. Frustrating. On morning I left no taxis. ???? I had to drag my 16kg case 4.3 km to Gare du Lyon. I’m 67. Luckily I’m fit but hard work over cobblestones. Will not stay there again. A shame as nice place to be otherwise.

  : Great hotel in a fantastic location. For Paris, the rooms are quite large and everything is charmingly decorated and well appointed. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Overall, I would recommend staying here.
  : My only issue here is that we specifically booked this hotel because it had air conditioning as I sleep very hot at night. However, upon arrival, we were told that the "hotel had switched to heat only for the rest of the year". The problem is that the customer should decide what to set the temperature of their room at, not the hotel. Otherwise, the listing should be corrected to read that the hotel does have AC, but only during portions of the year that you have no control over.This was a bit of a problem because the rooms got quite hot at night even during mid-September. Opening the window partially worked, but then the room was too loud since you are in a loud/busy area. So the choice was either to wake up sweaty or to not be able to fall asleep because of noise -- less than ideal.With that said, I've encountered this problem throughout many hotels I've stayed at across Europe. I think we Americans just simply have a much higher standard for controlling indoor room temperatures, regardless of what the temperature is outside.

  : Location is perfect - less than 5 min walk to Rue Montorgueil ( a long and lively market/cafe street). Staff is nice and very helpful, the room is a good size for 2 pax and has a minimalist modern design which we loved.
  : Towels are not clean so check first before using! We also experienced a deafening sudden fire alarm in the middle of the night. Everyone was confused and anxious so we went down to the street/reception area but no one explained or guided us to what was happening. Other than these, the experience was good.
